How Do You Coat a Commercial Floor in Brockton Without Closing the Business?

Start with what the floor is asked to do
A coating spec starts with duty, not color. The service bays along North Montello Street and Belmont Street see brine, motor oil and coolant on the same square foot every winter day. Old slabs: test before anything is specified
Brockton's commercial stock is old. A polyaspartic topcoat lists tack-free in 1 to 2 hours, foot traffic at 24 hours and full cure for heavy traffic in 3 to 5 days at 75 degrees F; a 100 percent solids epoxy lists a recoat window of 8 to 12 hours and full cure at 7 days at 70 degrees F. A service bay therefore cycles in two to three days of downtime, and a shop with four bays keeps three open while one is out. Retail and kitchens usually take the work overnight, with low-odor 100 percent solids chemistry and foot traffic returning the next day.
